Brief

To build a sailing club jetty and launching ramps suitable for differing boats and launch trolleys.

Solution

A jetty and launching ramp built with an adjustable angle to suit differing boats and launch trolleys.  The shore mountings were full width 'piano hinges' with adjustable legs used on the outer ends of the ramp.  

Challenges

The jetty and launching ramp legs could not puncture the membrane of the lake which was roughly 150mm below the bed.  To ensure that this didn't happen, we used large load spreading feet on the legs with small projections which woudln't reach the membrane and robust brackets were used to attached the structures to the side of the lake.
