Brief

Our client was looking to replace a pontoon on a private lake at their farm.  The existing structure was past its best and needed replacing to provide safe access to a boat and to the water for wild swimming.  They were looking to install a new jetty to match their recently renovated house.

Solution

The RA Marine team designed, fabricated and installed a 11 x 1.2 metre jetty that went straight out into the lake with an ‘L’ to the right measuring 2.5m x 1.2m.  The L shape matched the previous structure and suited the clients requirements for boat mooring across the front and swimming access to the right.   The aluminium framed jetty was dressed with chocolate brown SmartBoard decking and cladding, and was finished with a timber post and rope balustrade to delineate the outer edge.

Challenges

Due to the depth of the lake the structure needed a bit of extra bracing to ensure it was stable but overall this was a nice straightforward project and the team enjoyed a location with easy access and an uncomplicated solution to meet the client’s requirements.
